A little over a month ago, the announcement of the futuristic shooter La Quimera, developed by the Reburn studio, took place. As it turned out, there were two studios, 4A Games Limited and 4A Games Ukraine, that developed the Metro series of games. After Exodus, the studios stopped working together and 4A Games Ukraine became Reburn. Today, the studio published a gameplay trailer and also announced the release date of the game. As a reminder, the events of the game unfold in South America of the future. The official synopsis from the Steam page reads as follows:

Year 2064. The majority of nation states have become extinct. A series of natural and human-caused catastrophes in the 2030s and 2040s triggered the collapse of global systems, led to the fragmentation of human communities. The political entities in this new world are microstates and even amidst the current inter-state and corporate conflicts, typically see no point in maintaining their own armies, having to rely on mercenary forces — the "golden age" of private military companies, so called PMCs, has arrived.

It is known that the development of the game involves director Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed the films Drive and The Neon Demon, and also gave his appearance to Heartman in the game Death Stranding. Visually and gameplay-wise, La Quimera resembles the Crysis series and a bit of Titanfall without, in fact, the Titans.

The game is scheduled for release on April 25, so far only on PC on Steam. Unfortunately, there is no mention of console versions. Closed beta testing will begin on April 12. You can apply on the game's Steam page.
